Highway heroes don’t just stop to help and/or rescue people. Some are friends to man’s best friend. Such was the case Friday, Aug. 11 when a driver identified as Richard Duran avoided hitting a puppy wandering on Route 40 in Houck, Arizona. A passing motorist videoed Duran as he parked his truck, jumped out and scooped up the pup.
