This Federal Highway Administration video shows how platooning technologies allow trucks to follow each other using automated speed and spacing controls. The agency said platooning is based on an cooperative adaptive cruise control a system technology, and are part of what it says are “efforts to use innovative technologies to improve the efficiency of our nation’s freight transportation network.”
