Winter weather appears to have caused a massive chain-reaction accident today (Jan. 12) on westbound I-40 between mile markers 116 and 120. Reports say at least 16 tractor/trailers and eight other vehicles were involved in the accident in Decatur County, which is between Nashville and Memphis. The Tennessean reports there were also multiple jack-knifed tractor-trailers on Interstate 65 in Middle Tennessee, and a wreck involving a semi closed southbound I-65 near Portland.
