Truckers claim Louisiana fails to inform them of I-20 truck ban

Truckers are being ticketed by Louisiana State Police for ignoring a ban on tractor-trailers in a construction zone on Interstate 20.

Recently, a tractor-trailer tipped over in the construction zone, stalling traffic for some 16 hours. During the delay, state police officers ticketed seven truckers who were in the line of delayed traffic.

One trucker said the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has failed truck drivers for not having more signage warning of the ban and detour. The state says truckers are ignoring the numerous signs.
