RxBars boast healthy ingredients

We don’t need to tell you that eating healthy on the road is not just difficult; it can be a big pain.

Rx BarsWhile these protein bars are not a prescription for a total solution to that problem, RxBars do offer an all-natural option when it comes to a snack to stave off the mid-afternoon or late night hungries.

You can easily see what’s in these bars; the few ingredients they use are in big bold letters on the front of the package. What’s not in RxBars are: dairy, added sugar, gluten or soy.

For example the RxBar in Maple Sea Salt is made from egg whites, pecans, cashews, sea salt and maple flavor. Period.

What’s that mean nutritionally? Per serving:

  • 210 calories
  • 10 grams fat
  • 22 grams carbs
  • 3 grams fiber
  • 16 grams sugar
  • 12 grams protein

While RxBars are good for you, they’re not especially cheap. A sample pack of 12 bars in eight flavors costs $27 online. That’s $2.25 per bar. Still, they beat a Snickers and a Mountain Dew, right?
