Rand McNally upgrades OverDryve 8 Pro II navigation device

Updated Feb 27, 2022

Rand McNally has updated its popular OverDryve 8 Pro II with its upgraded Rand Navigation that the company says includes 33% more truck-specific road data than other GPS providers.

The second-generation OverDryve 8 Pro II also features an 8-inch, all-in-one truck GPS, tablet, dash cam, and satellite radio. Combined, the upgrade makes the OverDryve 8 Pro II faster, and more powerful, according to Rand McNally.

The unit’s upgraded Rand Navigation also delivers advanced truck routing with vibrant map graphics that can be overlayed with weather, traffic, and fuel prices along the driver’s route. It also has driver assistance tools such as advanced lane guidance, toll costs, warnings, fuel logs, and more.

The OverDryve 8 Pro II also features:

  • A fully adjustable built-in dash cam with loop recording and an integrated G sensor can be moved and positioned to record an optimal view.

  • A smart “slice” in the mount includes a built-in SiriusXM® receiver, enabling the OverDryve 8 Pro II to serve as a SiriusXM satellite radio.

  • When selected, routing can incorporate Wi-Fi connected services such as traffic, fuel prices and dynamic weather overlays – at the current location and down the road.

  • The OverDryve Pro II works with a driver’s smartphone’s built-in voice assistant such as Siri or Google. Using the voice assistant, the device will play music, make calls, and more.

  • The unit also connects to a smartphone so you can respond to texts and calls hands-free.

  • The device is pre-loaded with the Rand McNally fleet management app so the device is ELD-ready. All that’s needed is the ELD.

The OverDryve 8 Pro II is available online for $549.99 and at truck stops, travel centers, and big box stores.
