Step Back by Johnny Winter
Guitar master Johnny Winter died in July at the age of 70, but not before creating a milestone album with a slew of other amazing players. Step Back launches on Sept. 2 and includes a list of 13 vintage blues songs, and an impressive lineup of collaborators. Playing with Winter on Step Back are Eric Clapton, Brian Setzer, Billy Gibbons, Joe Bonamassa, Dr. John, Ben Harper and Joe Perry. The album is a sequel to Winter’s 2011 release, Roots, and a fitting capstone to an astonishing career.
