Amazon Prime is joining the ranks of other streaming services, like Netflix and Hulu, to offer a monthly membership subscription for its Prime Video feature.
Sean Connery at James BondPrime Video has until now existed as an extension of Amazon’s Prime membership. The Los Angeles Times reported that the new plan would give users the choice between $8.99/month for the video service or $10.99/month for complete Prime membership services. Previously, the Prime membership was an annual $99.
Amazon will add several titles for streaming in May, including several classic James Bond films, Airplane and Airplane II and the most recent blockbuster in the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
