Bruce Springsteen is both the author and narrator for his recently released audiobook, “Born to Run.”

Springsteen’s autobiography starts with his 2009 Super Bowl halftime show performance with the E Street Band. For the next seven years, Springsteen continued writing his life story before he published the book on Dec. 6. Springsteen takes audiobook listeners through how he became a musician and the personal struggles he had along the way.

“Writing about yourself is a funny business, but in a project like this the writer has made one promise: to show the reader his mind. In these pages, I’ve tried to do this,” Springsteen says in the audio of “Born to Run.”

Springsteen’s audiobook version of “Born to Run” is available on Amazon for $29.95. It is 18 hours and 16 minutes long.
