I enlisted into the Kansas Army National Guard on 27 August 1980 as a 67N Huey Helicopter Repairer (Crewchief) and by March 1982 I had transferred to another unit and worked as a 62B and a 63W Construction Equipment Operator and Light Vehicle Mechanic. Then this unit disbanded like my first unit in 1984 and so I ended up in the 714th Maintenance Company as 63H Track Mechanic, 63B Heavy Truck mechanic, 63S Forklift mechanic/operator, and a 77F Fuel Specialist. On 27 August 1986 I re-enlisted for another six years. On 27 August 1992 I re-enlisted for another six years and transferred to the 169th Spt. Bn. Company B and was a 63H until January 1995 and then I transferred once again into the HHC 130th FA Brigade as a 63 B and 77F. I ended up retiring from here on 30 May 2017 with 36 years 9 months and 3 days of Service.
