Truckin’ for Kids features drag races Sunday in Irwindale, CaliforniaA truck show and drag races this weekend raise funds for the fight against diabetes in children.
Truckin’ For Kids, is Saturday and Sunday at the Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California and includes a “show and shine” truck show and drag racing. There also is a big rig light show.
Now in its 38th year, the event raises funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Gates open to trucks at 6 a.m. Saturday. The highlight of the day is the “Light the Lot” light show competition Saturday from dusk to 9 p.m.
Sunday features truck drag races and awards for the truck beauty contest. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The weekend is sponsored by RoadWorks Manufacturing, maker of stainless-steel aftermarket accessories for heavy-duty trucks.
There are admission and parking fees.
