Country singer-songwriter Michael Ray and country trio Runaway June perform at this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show concert in March.
Michael Ray won the first season of the music competition show “The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep.” During the show he was mentored by John Rich of Big & Rich. Ray released his second album, “Amos,” in June 2018. The album was named after his grandfather, who inspired his passion for music.
Runaway June is comprised of lead singer and guitarist Naomi Cooke, singer and mandolin player Hannah Mulholland, and singer and guitarist Jennifer Wayne. The trio earned a 2018 Academy of Country Music (ACM) award nomination for “New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year.” They released their self-titled debut album in September 2018 and will be joining Carrie Underwood on her “The Cry Pretty Tour 360” tour this Spring.
The Mid-America Truck Show returns to the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville March 28-30. Online registration for the show is open.
