Listen to 3 trends changing how truck drivers will be paid

Beth Carroll knows a little something about truck driver pay.

She should: She’s the managing principal of the Prosperio Group, a nationwide compensation consulting organization with particular expertise in trucking.

Carroll spoke at the Truckload Carriers Association’s 78th annual convention Tuesday, March 8, in Las Vegas, and explained three new trends she sees occurring with driver pay:

  1. Guaranteed pay or guaranteed miles per week
  2. Fuel bonuses based on driving habits
  3. Tenure and performance are being combined for giving annual increases vs. looking at tenure alone
