Ozark Motor Lines today announced changes to its driver pay and benefits packages effective Jan. 1.
The family-owned carrier based in Memphis, Tennesse said its long haul and regional driver pay will increase by 2 cents per mile for all dispatched miles.
In addition, Ozark will increase the per diem mileage rate to 16 cents for all dispatched miles. The IRS recently increased the maximum allowable daily per diem rate from $63 to $66.
Ozark said it will increase the discretionary match of employee 401(k) plans. The new rate will be 50 cents per dollar with a maximum match of $2,000 per year. And, for the second year in a row, there will be no increase in employee premiums for medical insurance, according to a statement from the company.
Ozark operates terminals in Lebanon Tennessee; Springfield, Missouri; Lenoir North Carolina and Grenada Mississippi.
