New Jersey college implements CDL training

Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, New Jersey, is partnering with 160 Driving Academy to bring a CDL training course to its campus.

The 160-hour program offers classes that run Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will offer classroom work and behind-the-wheel training to prepare students to obtain needed state and federal permits, pre-trip maintenance and inspection, skills and maneuver training.

The program is the 46th driving school 160 Driving Academy has opened.

“This is another example of a community colleges partnering to address a workforce need,” said Brookdale President Dr. David Stout. “The training offered by 160 Driving Academy has created opportunities for so many to start or change their careers.”
