Seventy-four drivers and dockworkers at Con-way Freight in Miami Lakes, Fla., voted Thursday (Dec. 11) to join Teamsters Local 769.
A statement from the union said the vote follows two earlier ones at Con-way:
- On Sept. 12, 113 drivers and dockworkers at Con-way Freight in Laredo, Tex., voted to join Teamsters Local 657.
- On Sept. 23, 44 workers in Vernon, Calif., voted to join Teamsters Local 63.
The vote comes after the union withdrew a vote at FedEx Freight in Pennsylvania.
Numerous campaigns at Con-way and FedEx Freight are under way, according to the union.
