The original span of the Blue Water Bridge between Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and Port Huron, Mich. is getting smaller this spring.
The second-busiest U.S.-Canadian bridge will be limited to one lane of traffic in each direction from April to July for resurfacing. In addition to crossing delays, loads will be limited to a maximum of 11 feet wide.
NEXUS and FAST lanes will not be available during the project.
Plan “B”: the Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor tunnel.
The Blue Water Bridge connects Highway 402 in Ontario with both Interstate 69 (I-69) and I-94 in Michigan.
