The mission of Women In Trucking Association is to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women employed in the trucking industry.

“J.B. Hunt is excited to partner with Women In Trucking,” said Hampton. “While our industry is more diverse than ever before, there is a great need to recognize the gap that still exists between male and female employment.”

Future WIT initiatives include:

  • the  â€śAccelerate! Conference and Expo” in September
  • a WIT Index to monitor the growth of women in management, director, and driver positions,
  • expansion of the Girl Scout Transportation Patch and Curriculum
  • a newly created Image Team.

Women In Trucking is supported by its members and Gold Level Partners: Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Daimler Trucks NA, GE Capital Transportation Finance, Great Dane Trailers, J.B. Hunt Transport, U.S. Xpress, and Walmart.
