Teamsters win election at FedEx Freight in Stockton, Calif.

The Teamsters Union last week picked up its first win in months in its efforts to organize FedEx Freight workers, both the union and the carrier announced Friday.

Fifty drivers at FedEx Freight’s Stockton, Calif., terminal will now fall under the union’s representation following a 33-12 vote in favor of joining the Teamsters. It was the union’s first win at the carrier in its last seven tries, having lost votes or withdrawn elections at seven other terminals prior.

Three other terminals have voted to join the union since the campaign began.

FedEx says the most recent vote only affects the Stockton workers.
