Transport Corporation of America, Inc., a subsidiary of TransForce, Inc. announced recently it has acquired of a majority stake in Optimal Freight, LLC., a privately-held non-asset based truckload freight brokerage company.
Optimal Freight, which is located in Chicago, provides brokerage services throughout the U.S. Canada, and Mexico.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Transport America’s customers and employees, allowing us to significantly expand our capabilities to provide solutions for customers outside of our current asset footprint,” said Keith Klein, president of Transport America.
Transport America provides truckload transportation and logistics services throughout much of the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Headquartered in Eagan, Minn., the company offers solo and team over-the-road, dedicated, regional, intermodal and brokerage services.
