You know that Internet meme that says: “Everything’s better with bacon!”?
We doubt they meant that includes tractor-trailer accidents.
The food website The Daily Mealt today carries a story about how an accident Sunday, Feb. 21 on I-64 in Virginia led to a second one, which in turn led to a trailer-load of bacon being spilled onto the highway, which then had to be closed for nine hours.
It seems a truck carrying furniture crashed on I-64 near James City, Virginia, spilling its cargo. A motorist tried to avoid the furniture and was struck by the truck carrying the bacon. To make matters worse, the recovery of the bacon truck and trailer did not go well, and the bacon hit the highway.
