The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation is scheduled to vote Thursday, March 3 on President Obama’s nomination of T.F. Scott Darling III to become the next administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Darling was nominated by Obama in August and underwent Senate confirmation hearings in January. He has headed FMCSA since August 2014, following the resignation of then-Administrator Anne Ferro.
If Darling is confirmed by the committee, he still must be confirmed by the full Senate before being named FMCSA’s administrator.
