FMCSA seeks comments on entry-level driver training

Updated Feb 9, 2020

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s decision to delay for two years its rule establishing training standards for entry-level truck drivers appeared today in the Federal Register and is now open for comment

The rule was set to take effect Feb. 7. It has now been delayed until Feb. 7, 2022. The agency said the delay is needed to further build out the needed IT infrastructure.
