Multiple tractor-trailers collide in Oregon, but no injuries reported

Oregon State Police report that several tractor-trailers were involved in a collision Wednesday, Oct. 6 on Highway 97 north of Kent in the north-central part of the state.

The OSP Facebook post (below) includes numerous grizzly photos of the early morning wreck, but adds, "Amazingly there were no reported injures of anyone who was involved in the crash."

Truck fire closes I-5 near Tacoma

No injuries were reported in a tractor-trailer fire today on southbound Interstate 5 near Tacoma, Washington.

Washington State Police said a brake fire spread to a load of mattresses in the trailer. The early morning fire caused I-5 to be closed for several hours.

No injuries were reported.

Car hauler catches fire; $300,000 in damages

A tractor-trailer loaded with vehicles caught fire and burned Thursday afternoon near Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department reports that at about12:45 p.m. on Thursday, the trucker saw smoke coming from the passenger side of the trailer while driving on 185th Street and Highway 2.

The driver pulled over and the flames quickly spread from under the trailer to the cars nine cars above. Five of the card and the tractor were destroyed. Authorities place the value of the loss at $300,000. The driver was not injured.
