A livestock hauler was placed out of service and the cattle they were hauling were seized by Wyoming law enforcement officers recently.

According to a post on the Facebook page of the Laramie County Sheriff's office, the driver was stopped on U.S. Highway 85 on Tuesday, Feb. 6 for going 75 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Upon investigation, the driver was cited for not having a commercial driver's license, lack of insurance, and lack of registration. The truck was placed out of service for safety violations, according to the sheriff's department.

Sheriff's deputies seized the 39 cattle on the trailer when questions were raised about their ownership.

The investigation continues.
