A Nashville truck driver was arrested early this morning after intentionally driving his truck through the front doors of a Kroger grocery store in Millington, Tennessee.

Police told WREG TV that 45-year-old Clarence Carter entered the store around midnight, and created some sort of disturbance. Carter then allegedly, left the store, got into his truck, and drove it through the front of the grocery store, which was closed at the time.

There were no injuries to employees in the store at the time of the crash.

Carter was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, vandalism, and resisting arrest. He was due in court today.

“We had to dismantle the truck to get the truck out of the building,” Millington Public Safety Director Gary Graves told WREG.

The store was opened for business today.
