The New York State Thruway Authority is warning motorists of a potential email scam.

The authority recently posted on Facebook that E-ZPass or Tolls By Mail will never send an email or contact you requesting sensitive personal information such as credit card number, social security, user names, passwords, etc.

"If you are contacted by anyone stating that they are from E-ZPass or Tolls By Mail and they are seeking personal information, please do noy provide the information requested," said the authority.

Wyoming port of entry closed next week

The port of entry in Evanston, Wyoming is going to be closed for repairs next week.

The facility will be closed to all traffic from Monday, July 15, through Friday July 19.

A post on the Wyoming State Patrol said the closing is necessary so new equipment can be installed.

The Port will be staffed as normal to accommodate carriers and issue email/fax permits.
