Early this morning a tractor-trailer loaded with a windmill blade struck a bridge in Maine and overturned.
The crash occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Route 1 in Stockton Springs, Maine. The tractor-trailer struck the railroad bridge that crosses Rte. 1.
The collision caused both the tractor and trailer hauling the blade to overturn shutting down Rt 1.
There were no injuries reported.
The Maine State Police said crews will be working for the next several hours to upright the load and reload it on to a new trailer to return it back to the port in Searsport.
