Hogan Transports was honored with a SmartWay Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as anindustry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency.
Through innovative initiatives such as enhanced equipment, halo tire experiments, and APU additions, Hogan Transports achieved an average fuel consumption reduction of 38.5% in 2022. These efforts also resulted in a 74% decrease in unnecessary engine idling. Furthermore, Hogan Transports’ commitment to modernizing our fleet and collaborating with customers to enhance fuel, driver, and route efficiency has significantly improved our performance rankings and emissions factors.
Hogan Transports’ COO, Todd Holt, said, "In recent years, Hogan has made significant strides in developing and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing driver and technician training and engagement in sustainability. Hogan Transports is among 29 carriers honored as a top performer in environmental sustainability, placing us in the top 1% of SmartWay’s over 4,000 Partners. This year’s awards were announced at a virtual press event hosted by the EPA with its SmartWay Partners, key stakeholders and media in attendance.
