123 lbs. of cocaine discovered in tractor-trailer on I-94 in Michigan

Police in southwestern Michigan recently found 123 pounds of cocaine they stopped on Interstate 94.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office said police received a tip about a shipment of illegal drugs that was in transit along I-94.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Nov. 18, sheriff's deputies located the suspect tractor-trailer and performed a traffic stop on eastbound I-94 at mile marker 34.

With assistance from the Michigan State Police, the truck and trailer were searched, and the cocaine was discovered. Police estimated the street value of the drugs was $1.5 million.

The truck driver, Sukhraj Singh, a 22-year-old Canadian resident, was arrested and transported to the Berrien County Jail.
