A truck being towed caught fire and was destroyed early this morning on the Maine Turnpike (Interstate 95).
Maine State Police report the 2018 Kenworth caught fire at about 3:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the turnpike at mile marker 75.
MSP say the truck was being towed by a New Jersey company when a tire on the Kenworth caught fire.
The driver of the tow truck was able to disconnect from the burning truck, according to the police. No injuries were reported.
