A trucker recently risked his life to move his tractor-trailer that caught fire while he was inside a Connecticut truck stop.

The rig was parked at the fuel island of the Secondi Bros Truck Stop near Interstate 95 in Milford Wednesday morning. The driver was inside the truck stop when he was notified his truck was on fire.

According to reports, the driver left the truck stop, climbed into his truck despite the passenger side being engulfed in flames, and moved it away from the fuel island. He was not injured in doing so.

The Milford Fire Department said on Facebook the truck was a total loss.

The driver was not identified. The trailer was empty at the time of the blaze.
