Bystanders wake driver asleep in his truck that was on fire

A truck driver who was asleep in his truck when it caught fire at a loading dock can thank bystanders who roused him from his slumber.

According to Fox 43, the truck caught on fire at a loading dock in East Manchester Township, York County, which is located about 24 miles southeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Union Fire Company told Fox 43 the fire occurred at about  2:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. They said bystanders on Locust Point Road, near the UNFI Corporation, noticed fire, which is said to have started in the engine compartment.

Nearby bystanders woke the driver, who was in the truck's sleeper berth.

No injuries were reported.
