An Oklahoma service plaza construction project will be closed to truck parking for the rest of this year.
According to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, the westbound Interstate 44/Turner Turnpike service plaza at Stroud (mile marker 179) temporarily will have all commercial truck parking closed starting now through early 2026. The closure is part of a project to modernize and reconstruct the Stroud service plaza, according to the authority.
The authority said in a Facebook post commercial trucks should locate alternative long-term parking locations.
The project includes a full reconstruction of the McDonald's and Loves Travel Stop buildings.
Motorists still will be able to access fuel, restrooms and food at the existing Love's and McDonald's facilities during construction.
