Texas inspection operation puts 23 trucks out of service

Several Texas police departments recently held a commercial vehicle enforcement operation and made public the results.

A Facebook post by the Lewisville Police Department said it was joined on March 18 by the Carrollton Police Department,  City of Denton Police Department , Denton County Sheriff's Office ,Texas Department of Public Safety , and the Colony Police Department.

During the operation, officers conducted numerous inspections and issued citations and warnings based on observed violations.

The results include:

  • Citations issued: 21
  • Warnings issued: 244
  • Level 1 inspections: 39
  • Level 2 inspections: 1
  • Out of service violations: 43
  • Trucks placed out of service: 23
  • Percentage of trucks out of service: 58%

Lewisville is located north of the Dallas-Forth Worth area.
