Lewisville Police Department
Several Texas police departments recently held a commercial vehicle enforcement operation and made public the results.
A Facebook post by the Lewisville Police Department said it was joined on March 18 by the Carrollton Police Department, City of Denton Police Department , Denton County Sheriff's Office ,Texas Department of Public Safety , and the Colony Police Department.
During the operation, officers conducted numerous inspections and issued citations and warnings based on observed violations.
The results include:
- Citations issued: 21
- Warnings issued: 244
- Level 1 inspections: 39
- Level 2 inspections: 1
- Out of service violations: 43
- Trucks placed out of service: 23
- Percentage of trucks out of service: 58%
Lewisville is located north of the Dallas-Forth Worth area.
