Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the latest cargo theft to occur in that state.

Thieves are said to have stolen 40 boxes of frozen shrimp from a tractor-trailer parked at a truck stop Wednesday, April 16.

According to State Police, the theft occurred between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 11:23 a.m. at the Pilot Travel Center on Suedberg Road in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.

Pine Grove Township is located about 37 miles northeast of Harrisburg along Interstate 81.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Schuylkill Haven at 570-754-4600.

There have been numerous cargo thefts reported in Pennsylvania since late last year. Most recently Philadelphia police interrupted a theft of meat from a truck parked near a Sysco facility.
