A Missouri trucker was arrested Sunday, May 25, after doing $10,000 worth of damage in a West Virginia cemetery.

WV News reports Sean Michael Koppenhoefer, 43, of St. Louis, has been charged with destruction of property following the incident, which occurred while he was operating a tractor-trailer for Central Expedited Inc.

Koppenhoefer entered the cemetery grounds but was unable to maneuver his tractor-trailer within the confined space, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County. While attempting to reverse, the vehicle struck a retaining wall, damaged cemetery drainage infrastructure, and knocked over several gravestones. The estimated damage exceeds $10,000.

After the collision, Koppenhoefer allegedly detached the trailer and left the scene. Authorities later located and arrested him.

Police continue their investigation.
