One of the true highlights of the trucking community's summer opens Thursday and runs through Saturday.
That's when the Iowa 80 truck stop presents its annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree. The free event is loaded with family-friendly events, a major truck show, over 175 exhibits, kids games, and plenty of country music.
The jamboree also features a couple signature attractions: the Trucker Olympics and the Iowa Pork Chop Cookout.
Iowa 80 will rock with plenty of music throughout the three days. This year's featured band is Little Texas, which had major hits with God Blessed Texas, and My Love.
Admission to the event is free. So is the parking.
