Roadtex has opened two new locations, in Greenville, South Carolina, and just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Both locations offer improved technology, increased square footage, expanded transportation and warehousing capabilities, and additional capacity, according to a statement from the company.
New Jersey-based Roadtex provides truckload and LTL temperature-controlled services to a variety of industries, as well as warehousing.
"These new locations enable Roadtex to further increase our nationwide footprint and better service our clients," said Frank Hurst, executive vice president of Operations. "By expanding our solutions in both locations, we are better positioned to deliver the high-quality shipping and warehousing our clients count on."
The new facilities were selected for their strategic locations, enabling Roadtex to provide top-of-the-line service in logistics-friendly areas, according to the company. These facilities provide an increase of 50,000 square feet, state-of-the-art temperature-controlled technology and tools, and are food-grade and FDA-certified.
"Our new facilities come equipped with new technology," said Matt Zucconi, vice president of Operations at Roadtex. "In addition to GPS tracking of trailer locations, enabling us to monitor temperature-controlled shipments on the road, we're also implementing electronic manifesting for real-time track and trace, greatly reducing the risk of loss and further advancing our services."
In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics, a provider of technology-enabled transportation management services.
