Texas CVE troopers place 17 trucks and three drivers out of service

A special enforcement effort during the Labor Day weekend resulted in numerous trucks and drivers placed out of service in Texas.
 
In response to the recent increase in commercial motor vehicle crashes in Grayson County, which is about 60 miles north fo Dallas,Texas Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) troopers conducted a CMV Taskforce during the Labor Day Weekend. 
 
During the operation, CVE troopers conducted 94 inspections that resulted in 213 violations. Six citations were issued and 207 warnings were delivered. Troopers placed 17 commercial vehicles and three drivers were placed out of service.
 
In a Facebook post, the CVE troopers said they "continue to work on identifying dangerous violations in commercial vehicles before they cause serious collisions on Texas roadways, which is vital to keeping Texas roadways safe."
