A truck driver trapped by floodwaters in Washington was rescued recently by members of the Customs and Border Protection service.

Dramatic photos show a tractor-trailer surrounded by floodwaters as a result of record-breaking flooding caused by back-to-back atmospheric rivers, which have prompted the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents and flooded numerous highways.

Officers from the service's Blaine Sector near the Canadian border used air support and a massive tractor to rescue the driver from their stranded truck.

Rain is forecast to continued today.
