26 vehicles, 9 drivers placed out of service by CA Highway Patrol

Numerous trucks and drivers were placed out of service during a one-day commercial motor vehicle enforcement effort by the California Highway Patrol.

The operation was conducted along SR-60 from East Los Angeles to the San Gorgonio Pass.

The CHP's Rancho Cucamonga area posted on Facebook "the operation delivered impactful results that directly enhance roadway safety for the motoring public."

Those results included 342 commercial violations cited and 25 warnings issued.

  • 9 drivers placed out of service

  • 58 mechanical violations
  • 162 out-of-lane violations
  • 30 unsafe speed violations
  • 72 other moving violations
  • 13 hours-of-service/logbook violations
  • 12 registration violations
  • 6 operating authority violations
  • 7 cell phone violations
  • 4 seat belt violations
  • 1 non-emergency stop violations
  • 4 driver's license violations
