One-day inspection effort places trucks and drivers out of service

Numerous trucks and drivers were placed out of service during a recent inspection effort in Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety placed 13 vehicles and three drivers out of service during the Dec. 22 enforcement effort held at theTexas Motor Speedway located in Fort Worth.

Officers inspected 22 commercial vehicles and also issued 147 warnings and three citations.

“During the operation, CVE Troopers located a loaded 18-wheeler operating without functioning trailer brakes," the TDPS said in a social media post. "This highlights the critical role CVE Troopers play in identifying unsafe drivers and equipment, thereby helping to prevent crashes and keep our roadways safe."
