
Two states have reported their activities during the recent International Roadcheck enforcement effort.
Wyoming
During Roadcheck the Wyoming Highway Patrol issued numerous of out-of-service orders for trucks and drivers.
During the 72-hour enforcement effort, WHP conducted 392 inspections statewide, including 243 Level I inspections.
A total of 88 commercial vehicles were placed out-of-service for violations.
Also, 27 drivers were placed out-of-service for various violations.
Arizona
Each year, International Roadcheck places special emphasis on a driver violation category and a vehicle violation category to highlight those aspects of an inspection.
The driver focus for this year was on electronic logging device tampering, falsification or manipulation.
This year’s vehicle focus was cargo securement.
Roadcheck is one of several inspection programs staged by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.
