A recent enforcement effort in New York state left numerius truck and drivers out of service.
In a social media post, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said it recently joined forces with the New York State Department of Transportation and New York State Police for a targeted commercial motor vehicle safety enforcement initiative along the Interstate 81 corridor.
FMCSA said the results included:
- 363 CMVs inspected
- 23 drivers placed out of service
- 20 vehicles placed out of service
"Every unsafe driver or vehicle identified and removed from service is one less risk to the commercial motor vehicle industry and everyone traveling on American roads," the FMCSA said.
