Artificial intelligence will be on the agenda when the Truckload Carriers Association holds its annual convention Feb. 28 to March 3 at the Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
This year's convention has moved to a Sunday through Wednesday format, but the agenda remains filled with discussions, educational sessions and a keynote speech delivered by Molly Bloom, former U.S. ski team member, author and inspirational speaker.
Several key awards will be handed out at the convention, including:

- Highway Angels of the Year
- Elite Fleets winners
- Professional Drivers of the Year

America's Road Team Captains are professional drivers chosen for exemplary safety records and their ability to speak about the industry.
The Captains’ experience behind the wheel forms the foundation of their work as trusted voices for the trucking industry. They testify before lawmakers, run ride-alongs for policymakers and reporters, and talk to students at career fairs and schools about what the job actually requires. ATA counts more than 230 safety events since 2019, and the program has reached an estimated 2.5 million people.
The newly selected Captains will tour the country in a fully equipped, all-new Volvo VNL 860 that transports the ATA Interstate One mobile classroom to events and communities nationwide.
“America’s Road Team represents the very best of our industry,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America. “These Captains are recognized not only for their millions of safe driving miles, but also for their leadership and professionalism they bring to the road every day."
New truck stop in North Dakota
Northdale Oil is opening a new full-scale truck stop and convenience store in North Fargo next month.
The facility is located doff Interstate 29 at Exit 69, at the corner of County Road 20 and Highway 81.
“We are a full-scale truck stop,” said store manager Rob Gellner. “Certainly, that’s, that’s our main function at that location. Serving the trucking industry.”
To accommodate commercial and personal vehicles, the property features overnight truck parking, and four double-sided diesel islands providing eight fueling spots.
Inside, the location will feature an expanded kitchen and deli program.
