driver eats his way to a new set of tires

Roger Errett wins wing-eating contest at MATS

A trucker from Mount Pleasant, Penn. won a set of tires worth $3,000 by wolfing down three pounds — some 36 wings! — of chicken wings during a contest at last week’s Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville. Bridgestone Commercial Solutions (a business of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations), staged the contest, awarding 10 Dayton commercial truck tires. Roger Errett competed against seven other contest participants to win the grand prize. The participants were required to eat all of the meat from every chicken wing on their plate in 10 minutes or less. All contestants were drivers with a valid U.S. commercial driver’s license who were attending the show from across the country.
