Melissa McCarthy is in charge in her comedy The Boss, originally released in theaters in April and newly out on DVD.
McCarthy plays Michelle Darnell, a businesswoman who gets herself sent to prison for insider trading. After she gets out of prison she reconnects with her assistant Claire, played by Kristen Bell, and Claire’s daughter Rachel.
Darnell is determined to reclaim her place as the No. 1 con woman, but can she rebuild her scam empire?
Kathy Bates, Tyler Labine and Peter Dinklage also star. McCarthy also helped write and produce the film, in addition to portraying the lead character.
