Women fill ranks of year’s best country albums

This has been an exceptional year for women in country music. Just ask Rolling Stone.

The music magazine just announced its list of the 40 best country and Americana albums of 2019, and female singers and groups are especially well represented. In fact, seven of the top 10 albums are by women, and a total of 17 albums by women made the list.
