The Women in Trucking Association and Walmart are seeking nominations for the inaugural Women in Trucking Female Driver of the Year award. The award will recognize female truck drivers who lead the industry in safety standards while actively working to enhance the public image of the trucking industry.
The grand prize winner will be selected based on safety record, impact on the industry’s image and positive community contributions. The contest is open to any female driver or contractor who has safely driven 1 million consecutive, accident-free miles. The driver must be nominated by the carrier they are currently leased or employed with.
Nominations can be made here through Feb. 15.
The award will be presented at the 2020 Salute to Women Behind the Wheel event at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 27.
